Design & Build Service

Plot 1 Sawpit NEW frontVigor Construction can provide a full design and build service, using experienced architects to draw up the initial plans and manage the planning and building regulations application for your new build.  Once planning permission is granted by the local district council, the construction arm will be mobilised to carry out the build stage.

The National House Builders Council (NHBC) are the leading warranty and insurance provider for new homes in the UK.  Buildmark is the name of their 10 year warranty and insurance cover.  Every new build constructed by Vigor Construction is covered by Buildmark.

Build Only Service

We often find that the client already has the plans for their new build drawn up, planning permission has been granted and the project is being put out to tender. If you are looking for a cost for your new build then we are able submit a price/tender for the proposed new build. If our tender is successful and we are formally engaged, Vigor Construction will then take ownership of the project and commence the build phase to agreed timescales.

Tenders & Pricing

If a traditional build only contract is required,  David Vigor will need to meet with the client to inspect the site where the proposed building works will take place, so as to ensure the project is viable and that there are no unforeseen or outstanding construction issues.

In addition, Vigor Construction will need the following sets of documents/drawings for your new build in order to present a meaningful and transparent price and a realistic programme of works.

1. Architect’s drawings and specification
2. Structural engineer’s drawings and specification
3. Schedule of Works (if available)
4. Bill of Quantities (if relevant)
5. Mechanical & electrical drawings and specification (if available)
6. Interior design drawings and specification (if relevant)
7. Any other specialist drawings/specifications

Once a quotation is approved by the Client, Vigor Construction produce a fixed price contract, detailing all the agreed works to be carried out for the agreed price within the agreed timescale. Should additional works or changes to the plans be subsequently required, then these will be discussed and priced accordingly, with all cost variations captured and confirmed in writing.
